Recovering Unsaved Work After an Application Freeze

Summary

Unfortunately, if a computer/VM freezes or the session ends before you click Save in Jama Connect®, the unsaved changes cannot be recovered.

Resolution

Determine Whether the Work Was Saved

  • Confirm the last time the user clicked Save.
  • If the user did not save after making the edits, the work cannot be recovered.

If the User Thinks They Did Save

  • Check for evidence of changes using available item history/audit trails (where applicable).
  • If changes were saved but not appearing, have an admin run a project re-index.

Prevent Recurrence

  • Save frequently, especially during long edits.
  • Avoid relying on typing alone to keep a session active.
