Summary
An Organization Administrator may inadvertently modify or remove permissions assigned to the Organization Admin group. This can result in members of the group losing access to projects, administrative functionality, or other areas of Jama Connect that they previously had access to.
By default, Jama Connect includes an Organization Admin group with Administration and Access permissions across the organization.
Resolution
If the Organization Admin group's permissions have been removed and they can no longer be restored through the standard Organization Administrator interface, root access is required to restore the appropriate permissions.
The root user is associated with the Jama Connect system administrator role and has system-level administrative access that is separate from the Organization Administrator role.
Jama Connect Cloud customers
For Jama Connect Cloud, contact Jama Software Support for assistance. Support can work with you to restore the Organization Admin group permissions when root-level access is required.
Self-hosted customers
For self-hosted environments, work with your Jama Connect system administrator, who has access to the root account, to restore the required permissions.
