Delete Usergroup of Deleted Project

Summary

When trying to delete a user group, you may see the error:

This item can't be deleted. Project "<PROJECT-NAME>" has been removed.

You may also see an exception in the call to /dwr/call/plaincall/userSvc.deleteRole.dwr when viewing network traffic:

com.jamasoftware.contour.api.exception.ProjectInactiveException

Resolution

Unarchive the project and then delete it. The permanent project deletion job will run overnight and should automatically remove the associated user groups. This happens when the project was archived instead of deleted.
