Summary

In this article, you will learn how to configure the folder container for the Test Run's Defect logs in a project.

Resolution

When running our Test Runs, there is an option within the approval process to raise/file a defect item type to be saved in a specific folder storage. If we do not have this configured in our project and we try to click on the option Log a Defect, it is expected to get the error message "No Defect Type has been configured..".

To set this option, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Admin tab
2. Click on the Project tab
3. Look for the project and click on Settings
4. Click on Edit
5. Click the field that says "Select a location."
6. A small window will pop up, allowing you to select the folder used as container storage for your filed defects.

Try again. Click the option, and the form will appear. You can fill it out and then save it.
