Summary
When editing an item, you have 2 options for saving your changes: Save & Done and Save & Notify. In this article, we'll walk you through how to select Save & Notify and what it implies.
Solution
- Open an item in Single Item View and select Edit in whichever area you want to perform changes.
- Once you've made a change, go to the Save & Done button (this will be the current option by default).
- Notice on the button that there's an arrow beside the words Save & Done. Click on the arrow, and a few more selections will be visible.
- Select Save & Notify, and you will be provided a further step so you may select a User Group or select users to notify them of the changes being applied to the item and a personal comment.
- Once you select the desired users/group, click Save Changes for the changes to take effect and notification to be sent.
Please note that selecting this option is a manual action, and it will be the default choice every time you edit the item. If you want "Save & Done" to be the default option again, you will need to manually select it when editing and making changes to the item, following the same process as before.
