Summary:

A HAR file records information gathered on your browser's console, providing more details about what is happening in the network. These logs are essential for our Support Engineers to track and investigate issues.

Solution:

Note: Do not generate this file during your Jama login. It will record your password, and you must delete it manually with a text editor once it has been created and before sending it to Jama Software® Support. We recommend performing this when you are already logged in to the system.

  Chrome Browser:

1. Log into your Jama environment in Chrome.

2. Press the F12 key on your keyboard, and the browser's console will appear on the right. click the dotted button at the top right of your browser next to the Profile icon, then click More Tools > Developer tools. This will automatically activate the Recording Network Log.

Note: Ensure you are in the Network option; usually, it is hidden in the small arrows when the console is not completely extended. Here is a quick example below:

3. Navigate to the problem area or replicate the issue.

4. Once you have reproduced the issue, stop the Recording Network Log by clicking the red squared circle in the Developer tool.

5. Click the Export HAR button (with an arrow pointing down) and save it.

  Firefox Browser:

3. Click the Network option at the top of the Web Developer Tools (between Debugger and Style Editor). This will automatically activate the Recording Network Log.
