Summary

How to reset the default KOTS admin password

I accidentally misplaced the KOTS admin password during installation and cannot log into the KOTS admin console.

Solution

1. Run the following command to reset the password to 'password':

   kubectl kots reset-password -n default

Cause

The customer misplaces or copies/pastes passwords incorrectly during installation, preventing moving forward. If they lose this password, the provided command will generate a new one.
