Jama Connect Interchange™ v1. 37
Enhancements
Choosing Items to Include in ReqIF Round-Trip Updates
When running ReqIF round-trip exchanges, you can now control which items get updated. On the Import tab under additional settings, select Container scoped update to limit updates to only the items within the container you've selected for the import. Both round-trip exchange types (Jama Connect and round-trip ID) are supported.
This is especially useful when your project contains product variants — similar items organized in separate components. Previously, if an item's round-trip identifier was found anywhere in the project, it would be updated regardless of location (Project scoped update, which remains the default). With the new option, only items inside your selected container are updated, keeping changes isolated even when the same identifier appears elsewhere.
Important:
- All existing conversations have the previous Project scoped update behavior unless you change the setting to the new Container scoped update.
- When processing repeated imports within a conversation and it is necessary to update existing items and change the location for Container scoped updates, use Round Trip ID matching instead of Jama Connect matching.
Version Supported in ReqIF Exports
The Export tab of ReqIF exports now includes a new option to map Version from supported Jama Connect item types.

| SOS-DEF-9654 | ReqIF | The HTML field for Jama Connect items is now updated correctly to the value from the ReqIF file in round-trip ReqIF imports. |
| SOS-DEF-9677 | Jira | Certain Jira custom fields are now visible in the field mapping interface, allowing the expected configuration to be completed. |
| SOS-DEF-9679 | ReqIF | Non-PNG image <object> elements now use the expected structure, including a PNG fallback and descriptive alt text, to avoid validation errors. |
| SOS-DEF-9680 | Jira | Mapped rich text fields no longer create Jama Connect versions when no changes were made. |
