Jama Connect Interchange™ v1.35

Jama Connect MCP™ Server

As part of the new Jama Connect Model Context Protocol (MCP), Jama Connect Interchange will eventually allow you to configure MCP settings. For now, a new information page is available that will evolve as Jama Connect releases new MCP features.

This page is displayed only if MCP is licensed for your organization.

ReqIF Minor Improvement

  • When items are moved between folders in a previously imported ReqIF file, the application now places those items under the correct parent folder and preserves their order in the tree for more predictable round-trip behavior.

UI Enhancements

  • Cancel button that was missing in several windows has been restored.

  • A visual issue in the Import > Object Attributes flow has been fixed. Previously, when the Generate Mappings button was selected, it was resized and displayed a misaligned loading spinner.

  • The loading indicators in project selection dialog boxes have been improved.

  • Jira and Excel integrations now include a new 12-hour sync frequency option in the Integration Wizard. For consistency, the 60 seconds option has been renamed 1 minute. JC Integration Wizard.png

Note: The Jira Cloud integration has been updated to use newer workflow APIs, replacing older ones that will no longer be supported.

Resolved Issues

This release provides standard maintenance updates to improve performance, security, and reliability. Additionally, the following customer-reported issues were resolved.

ID Module Description
SOS-DEF-9406 ReqIF When Jama Connect set items, which include embedded attachments, are imported, the attachments' URLs are now constructed properly, allowing images to be rendered correctly.
SOS-DEF-9407 ReqIF Exported files no longer include "Project ID" or "ID" in spec type attributes when those are excluded in the export mapping.
SOS-DEF-9408 ReqIF An export source with a filter that includes a single object type and multiple objects no longer generates an empty file.
SOS-DEF-9463 ReqIF When you export a ReqIF file from a container or component and a mapped single‑select (enumeration) field has a null or no-longer-valid picklist option selected (for example, option deleted or deactivated in Jama Connect), the export file now contains SpecObjects as expected.
SOS-DEF-9508 ReqIF When a ReqIF file contains updates for items inside folders or nested subfolders, importing the file now correctly applies changes to modified items and accurately reflects those updates in the import logs.
