Trial Accounts Are Being Created by Regular Users

Summary

Trial accounts are being created in the system. The System activity shows that these trial users are being added by other users who are not Org or Project Admins.

Solution

The option Allow review moderators to invite new users to Jama by email can be disabled in the Review Center tab under Organization Admin, by an Org Admin.

Note: If both Enable Approval Review Template and Enable Peer Review Template are enabled under the "Approval and Peer Review Templates" section at the top, you will need to review this setting in both templates by switching between the tabs, as shown below.

Cause

Users can be invited to participate in reviews by email, which assigns them a Temporary license.

This is reflected in the temporary account’s license type, and user details:

username = email address,
first name = empty
last name = empty

Prevention

To prevent this from occurring, Org Admins can disable this review setting in the Organization Admin view.
