When enabling SSO for self-hosted, user may encounter “There was an error fetching or processing the metadata XML” error.

Resolution

Verify all certificates to ensure they are valid, unexpired, and correctly mapped. If the metadata URL is restricted by advanced browser security mechanisms, use the metadata XML file as an alternative.
