- Jama Connect Interchange™ (all supported versions)
- ReqIF
Summary
Jama Connect Interchange™ (JCI) supports bi-directional requirements exchange with Simulink through the Requirements Interchange Format (ReqIF).
If Simulink exports requirements as a ReqIF-compliant file, JCI can import, process, and exchange the data with Jama Connect. This enables organizations using both tools to share requirements while leveraging the industry-standard ReqIF format for interoperability.
Resolution
Jama Connect Interchange fully supports exchanging requirements with Simulink using ReqIF.
To successfully exchange data:
- Export requirements from Simulink as a ReqIF-compliant file.
- Import the ReqIF file into Jama Connect Interchange using the ReqIF module.
- Review and process the imported data as needed.
- Export updated requirements from Jama Connect Interchange as a ReqIF file when sharing changes back to Simulink.
Best practices:
- Verify that Simulink is generating a valid ReqIF-compliant file before importing it into JCI.
- If an import or export does not behave as expected, validate the ReqIF file for compliance and review any import logs or error messages.
- Contact Jama Support if you need assistance troubleshooting a ReqIF exchange.
