Summary

Inline images embedded in rich text fields (for example, Description) may appear as empty boxes after importing a ReqIF/ReqIFZ file using Jama Connect Interchange™.

This can occur during Jama-to-Jama migrations where a ReqIF export is generated from one Jama Connect® instance and imported into another. In affected scenarios, the HTML generated during import contains incorrectly constructed attachment URLs (for example, an extra numeric path segment after /attachment/), which prevents the browser from loading the image even though the attachment files exist in the destination project.

Symptoms

  • Images in rich text fields do not display after ReqIF import (empty image placeholders).
  • Attachments appear to have imported into the destination project, but inline images still do not render.
  • The rich text HTML contains attachment URLs that do not match the destination instance’s expected attachment URL format (for example, an extra numeric segment in the URL path).

Resolution

Jama Connect Interchange™ v1.34 resolves the issue related to image path construction for embedded images in ReqIF.
