How to enable/disable anonymized usage data collection in Jama Connect®

Summary 

Jama Connect includes a system-level setting that allows on-premises customers to share anonymized usage data with Jama Software.This article explains how on-premises Jama Connect customers can enable/disable anonymized usage data collection. 
 

Solution 

  • This is a root admin setting accessible through Root login -> System Properties -> Allow anonymized usage data collection.

  • Can be changed to 'No' to disable data collection

  • From release 8.49, anonymized usage data collection became enabled by default for on-premise installations

 

Additional Information:

  • This setting does not affect core Jama Connect functionality.

  • Disabling this setting

    • Jama Software will not collect any anonymized usage data from your instance.

    • In-app pop-up guides for new features and onboarding will be disabled
