Summary

This article discusses what to do when users encounter the following error message: "Smart filter with ID xx does not exist" when opening a project. This occurs because a filter used by one or more dashboard widgets was deleted, but those widgets still attempt to reference it.

Resolution

Review the dashboard for any widgets that are empty or not displaying data. Remove any widgets that are empty or showing errors related to the missing filter. Then refresh the dashboard page to confirm the errors are resolved and the dashboard loads correctly.

This issue arises when a filter referenced by one or more dashboard widgets has been deleted or is no longer available. However, the widget configurations still reference the missing filter, causing the error.
