Summary

The Advanced Filter panel in Jama does not currently allow multiple specific projects to be selected. The available options are:

  • A specific project
  • All projects
  • Current Project

However, there is a workaround involving creating a condition group and matching on the ID of the projects you would like to filter on.

Solution

Steps to filter on multiple projects in an advanced filter:

  1. From the filters tab, create or edit an advanced filter.
  2. In the popup window, under Select a Project, choose All Projects.
  3. In the Create rules section, click the light blue button on the right to create a condition group.
  4. In the header for the condition group, set Match to Any of the following conditions.
  5. To choose a specific project, in the condition group fields, set the following:
    • First box choose ID
    • Second box choose contains word
    • Third box enter the Project Key followed by an asterisk '*' for the project you want to filter on
      • For example, if the Project Key is PROJ-ID-1 you would enter PROJ-ID-1*
      • The id attribute for every item in a project is prepended by the project key, so this finds all items for a project with the given id to filter through.
  6. Click the green '+' icon to add more condition fields for as many projects as you'd like to filter on.
