Jama Connect Advisor^TM — Score Accordion in Document View

The latest update to Jama Connect Advisor^TM simplifies the process of improving the quality of requirement text. A new score accordion in Document View now displays each Requirement Quality score next to the field label, making it easier to identify areas at a glance. 

Features include:

• When collapsed, the accordion shows the Most Recently tracked score.
• Expand the accordion to view the Initial Score, Date, Time, and the user who performed the analysis (hover over date/timestamp for more info).
• Quickly scan Document View for yellow or red scores to identify areas that need attention and improve requirement quality at a faster pace.

Test Management Updates

This release includes several updates to the Test Management area of Jama Connect.

From the Test Runs tab of any test plan:

The cycle lock status is now visible and editable from the header actions. Previously, the cycle lock status was not visible while viewing or editing a cycle, making it challenging for users to intentionally lock and unlock a cycle.

When a cycle is locked:

• Name and details of the cycle can't be edited (existing behavior).
• Cycle can't be deleted unless the whole test plan is deleted (existing behavior).
• Test cases associated with the cycle can't be changed (new behavior).
• Test runs can be edited and executed (existing behavior).

Cycle progress details now appear when you hover over the progress bar in the header. 

You can now use a simplified drop-down Cycle menu to navigate between existing cycles and add a new cycle.

When you select View details in the header to view and edit cycle details, a slide-out panel opens. Previously, “View cycle details” and “Edit details” actions opened a new window. 

Cycle details now include these additional details:

• Breadcrumbs
• Last modified date
• Test run results

Manage test cases (previously called “Edit cycle”), Send for review, Export, and Delete have been relocated to the header. Previously, these actions appeared in three separate drop-down menus.

The Manage test cases action has been separated from other cycle actions to focus solely on updating cycle contents. Previously, this action also included updating the cycle item details.

The Sync test run to test case version option appears only when at least one cycle run has a version that is out of sync with its associated test case. To sync the run to the case version, select at least one run in the table, then select Sync selected run(s). Follow the steps that appear in the window.

The "Batch edit lock status for test runs " action is now available from the batch edit menu. Previously, you had to create a filter outside the test plan are and execute a batch update from there.

Test runs table has been updated to include the following improvements:

• “Configure view” action is now located under “Show/hide fields” (similar behavior as other List Views).
• Select all items across paginated views of a cycle.
  
• Filter/search/sort within columns to refine the data presented in the table.
• Clear sorting and filters.

•  Resizable columns

Accessibility Updates

Continuing our commitment to accessibility, we’ve made two key improvements in this release. Side panels and drawers are now keyboard-accessible and support arrow-key navigation when focused, improving usability for keyboard-only users. Additionally, based on customer feedback, we’ve enhanced label contrast in the Review wizard to improve readability and more clearly indicate the enabled state — supporting better alignment with WCAG 1.4.3 (Contrast - Minimum).

Coming Soon — Live Trace Explorer Filters Feature

We're excited to introduce the new Live Trace Explorer Filters feature. Beginning in Jama Connect 9.23, this feature is available to select customers, with broader availability to all Cloud customers planned in Jama Connect 9.24.
