IMPORTANT: Access to the REST API is limited to users with a Named Creator Jama Connect license, including access to v1, labs, and SCIM endpoints. Users without a Named Creator Jama Connect license, including those with a Creator Float License, do not have access.

Use Case

Jama Connect user would like to access to the API documentation (https://customer_instance.jamacloud.com/api-docs) that produces an error response 401.

Best Practice

The user should have a named creator license to access to the API, including the API documentation (https://customer_instance.jamacloud.com/api-docs) at their Jama Connect instance.

This 401 response is due to the license assigned to the user, which is for a float creator rather than for a named creator.

Implementation

Set the named creator license for user accesses the Jama Connect API.
