Summary
Synchronized items in Jama Connect® share a Global ID. This article explains how items' Global IDs will change depending on if they are the source or target of the synchronization connection.
The Global ID of the item you are Breaking or Connecting from will not change. So if item A and item B are synchronized and share a Global ID, then breaking the sync from item A's single item view will result in A keeping the original Global ID and item B receiving a new Global ID.
Similarly, if you want to synchronize items A and C, then synchronizing from item A's single item view will result in item A keeping its original Global ID while item C will take on the Global ID from item A.
Note that the Project ID for each item is unique and will not change when connecting or breaking sync.
