What Determines Item Names in the Explorer Tree in Jama Connect?

Summary

The item names/titles shown in the Explorer Tree in Jama Connect are populated from a specific field in your item type configuration.

Specifically, the Explorer Tree displays the content of the field with the unique field name name. This field may have a different display label (e.g., "Title" or "Requirement Name") and may appear anywhere in the item’s field order, but it is always the source of the Explorer Tree display text.

No other field can be configured to replace the name field in the Explorer Tree.
