Summary

ReqIFz archives are a compressed folder that contains a ReqIF file along with other attachments, like images, documents, etc. When the archive is unzipped, re-zipping the archive will change the file type to a zip archive instead of retaining the .reqifz extension.

Resolution

Rezipping the archive via the command line will prevent the Operating System from assigning the .zip file extension.

On Mac, within the unzipped ReqIFz folder, run the following command:

zip -r "../Newarchivename.reqifz" *

This will output a ReqIFz archive without the .zip file extension.
