Summary

This article explains why the Jama KOTS admin console does not display explicit “Start” and “Stop” buttons for restarting the application. The KOTS admin console is designed to manage application configuration and deployment within a Kubernetes environment, where lifecycle actions such as start and stop are typically handled at the Kubernetes level.

Resolution

To start or stop Jama Connect or its components, use the ekco script commands from the application server terminal:

sudo /opt/ekco/shutdown.sh
sudo /opt/ekco/startup.sh
