Summary
Can attachments for items be included in a Velocity report?
Velocity can retrieve information about item attachments but cannot export the attachments themselves.
Resolution
Option 1: Include a Hyperlink to the Attachment
You can configure the Velocity report to display a hyperlink to the attachment. When clicked, the link will open the attachment in a browser window, allowing the user to download it directly from Jama Connect.
Note: Users must be logged into Jama Connect and have appropriate permissions to access the linked attachment.
Option 2: Use a Custom API Script
If you need to export attachments themselves (e.g., download the actual files), a custom API script can be developed to automate this process. This approach can be tailored to your organization’s specific use case.
