Summary:
In this article, you will learn how to hide and unhide item-type fields depending on what view you are working on.

To manage the field´s management view you must have Org. Admin permissions to perform these configurations.

Solution:

Your administrator can configure a default view with specific fields to be shown in the item type set for the whole organization by going to the Admin tab > Organization tab > Item Types > ´Select the desired item´ > View.

Jamasoftware has the following areas to manage the field views:

"Project List View" or "List View"
Is a general view of all your items in a set followed in a hierarchical order in the Explorer tree shown by a dynamic table with all the fields in columns and with their data (no images included by design). You can sort, select, drag and drop, and reorder columns as you want. You can edit easily the item´s content by double-clicking over the area you want to change instead of going to Single Item View.

"Project List View with Mixed Item Types"
Is the same general view in a set as the List view, but with mixed item types. Also, when you use an Advanced Filter and then get a result search, this view is managed by this option too.

"Project Reading View" or "Reading View"

A general view of all your items in a hierarchical order in the Explorer tree with text and images in a set. This view allows you to read all the information like a document. You can use Reading View in both Projects and Reviews. In this view, you can perform the following tasks:

- View images
- Select individual or multiple items
- Open items
- View hierarchy with numbering
- Drag items to the Explorer Tree to reorder (as long as the item type allows it)
- Add comments and view connected users
- Configure fields
- View related items
- Export hierarchical content from an advanced filter

"Project Document View"
or "Document View"
This view is similar to Reading View, but with more options that provide a streamlined authoring and editing experience. Like other authoring tools, you can create, edit, and read items all in one view — no need to switch views for each function. Use the edit feature to quickly edit items without changing views or manually tracking your place in the document.

Note: This view is only available from version 9.0.2

Review Center Single Item View
Is a view located in a review that allows you to see your item's information sent out from a set through the Explorer tree, a Filter search, or a single item with text and images following the hierarchy order. His aspect view looks similar to a Reading View and/or Document View but with different options for item management.

Review Center Reading View
This view is located when you enter a review, in which you will see your item´s information sent out from a set through the Explorer tree, a Filter search, or a single item with text and images following the hierarchy order.
