This article explains how to check whether a Requirements Interchange Format (ReqIF) file is valid according to the official standard and how customers can upload their ReqIF data to a third-party online tool to generate and download a validation report.
A ReqIF (Requirements Interchange Format) file is an XML-based standard format used to exchange requirements data between different requirements-management tools.
Typical file extensions:
.reqif— standard XML file.reqifz— zipped archive of one or more ReqIF files

Supported formats:
.reqif,.reqifz, or.zipcontaining one or more.reqiffiles.Maximum file size: ~500 MB.
Start validation:
The server reads your file and checks it against the ReqIF specification and schema.-
View errors/warnings:
Errors indicate violations of the standard.
Warnings indicate best-practice or implementation guide issues.

Download the report:
After validation, a download button allows you to save the report (usually in JSON format) with all errors and warnings.
