Resolving "The selected Document Type is not mapped for this Project" During Import

Summary

"The selected Document Type is not mapped for this Project." error message appears when attempting to import an item type that is marked as "Hidden" in the Project Admin Tab.

When an item type was previously visible in a project, and items of that type were created, and then later the item type is hidden from the project, the previously created items remain visible in the project. However, new items of that type cannot be imported, leading to the error. 

Resolution

Configure item types for your project to ensure the item type you are importing is in the "Visible item types" column.
