KOTS Admin Config Performance Settings

Summary

When installing Jama Connect or troubleshooting performance issues, there are settings within the KOTS Admin Config (accessible over https:://<yourURL>:8800) that can be changed to improve performance and prevent further issues with startup.

Resolution

Our User Guide recommends the following updates to certain section of the KOTS Admin Config:

To enable these settings, open the KOTS Admin Config via the 'Config' tab within the KOTS Admin menu and go to these listed sections and make the changes:

Core Jama Application Settings

Elasticsearch Settings

Diff Settings

In addition, increase the 'Timeout (in seconds)' for the SAML and Oauth pods

Also add the following settings (with the line-space included) to the 'Advanced Startup Settings'

jamasearch.multithreadindex.chunksize=1000

jamasearch.reindexBrokenItemThreshold=10000000

jamasearch.multithreadindex.poolsize=10
