Apply Excel Functions logic across multiple projects (Excel functions only)

You can now set up a single Excel Functions integration that applies to multiple Jama Connect projects. Previously, each Excel Functions integration applied only to a single project, which meant that if you wanted to configure the same Excel logic (for example, a standardized risk calculation or field inheritance pattern) across ten (10) projects, you had to create and maintain ten (10) separate JCI integrations.

This new capability simplifies setup and streamlines ongoing maintenance for large-scale Excel function implementations. This capability is automatically available to anyone who has licensed Excel Functions.

To create an Excel Functions multi-project integration, click Add New Integration and select Jama Connect to Excel Functions (Multiproject) from the dropdown list.

You can use the new transfer list on the Select Projects page to select each project where you want to apply the Excel Functions logic. Projects can be added or removed from the integration at any time. For assistance setting up an Excel Functions multi-project integration, see the Jama Connect Interchange Help or request a guided setup with a Solutions Consultant.

A redesigned experience for mapping picklist values (Jira integrations only)

The windows for mapping picklist values for single-select and multi-select field mappings have been updated with a friendlier design and more straightforward instructions. The options for mapping picklist values remain the same, and any previously mapped picklist values have been automatically transferred to the new windows.

Support added for OLE objects (ReqIF module only)

The latest Jama Connect Interchange™ for ReqIF allows you to import and export XHTML fields containing embedded OLE objects and referenced attachments. This feature uses standard OLE objects to fully exchange XHTML fields referencing diagrams and documents such as Word and PDF files.

Resolved Issues

This release includes regular updates for improved performance, security, and reliability. We have also addressed the following issues reported by customers.

ID Description
CON-32668

Jira Cloud

Jira  Data Center

Because the Jira subtasks issue type is not fully supported for syncing, the Subtasks issue type was removed as an option for mapping on the Add/Edit Field Mapping modal.
CON-46569

Jira Cloud

Jira Data Center

The Default Value option was restored for multi-select to multi-select field mappings. This option allows you to select a default value to write to a multi-select field in the target system if the mapped multi-select field in the source system is blank.
CON-46515

Jira Cloud

Jira Data Center

If the Jama Connect OAuth token expires and regenerates while a Full Sync operation is running, the Full Sync now automatically resumes as soon as the token is regenerated.
CON-47570

Jira Cloud

Jira Data Center

Because Jira HTML fields don't accept HTML text color markup that references colors by name (for example, "white" instead of "#ffffff), Interchange now automatically converts any text color name references to the corresponding supported hex code before syncing the HTML content to Jira.
