Why does a defect created during a test run contradict the rule set?

Solution

This is the intended behavior when performing test runs. However, there are two options to remove or hide the defect:
You can filter items viewed at each level and then save that view for later use.

Also, you can go to the defect single item view and click on the relationships widget to the right. In the relationships window at the bottom, remove the ties for the test case as depicted below:

You can avoid creating defects while performing a test run.
