Summary:

In this article, you will learn how to configure the folder container for the Test Run´s Defect logs in a project.

Solution:

When we are running our Test Runs, there is an option within the approval process where you can raise/file a defect item type to be saved in a specific folder storage. If we do not have this configured in our project and we try to click on the option Log a Defect, it is expected to get the error message "No Defect Type has been configured..".

1. To set this option, follow these simple steps by going to Admin tab > Project tab > look for the project > Settings > Edit, and then click the field that says "Select a location", and finally a small window will pop out to let you select the folder that will be working as a container storage for your filed defects.

2. Try again click the option and the form will show up to be able to be filled up and then save it.

Cause: Cannot save defects in test runs due to an error message.
