Summary

If you created your backup with a Jama Connect® XML file or with SQL proprietary database software, you must manually migrate specific directories (folders).

A .jama backup file includes the database plus all necessary directories. However, an XML backup file or a proprietary database backup includes only the database.

Solution

  1. Delete the directories listed below in the /data directory. These directories will be restored when you restart Jama Connect on the new server.
    • tenant
    • ActiveMQData
    • elasticsearch
  2. Migrate these directories accordingly:

** All directories and files below the given folder
  3. On the new application server, set permissions and ownership for all directories with these commands:
chown -R 91:91 /data/contour
chmod -R u+rwX /data/contour
