Error "curl: (60) Peer's certificate issuer has been marked as not trusted by the user

Summary

Error when running Replicated curl command: "curl: (60) Peer's certificate issuer has been marked as not trusted by the user."

When running the curl command to install/ upgrade Replicated, you encounter the following error:

curl: (60) Peer's certificate issuer has been marked as not trusted by the user.

Solution

1. Check your proxy settings.
2. Run the below query on the host. If you get the same error, you must allow the host to access the Replicated server directly.

3. curl https://api.replicated.com/market/v1/echo/ip

4. Talk to your Network team and have this resolved. 

Cause

This issue happens when a proxy presents an untrusted certificate. 

Prevention

When setting up Jama Connect, ensure that the host can reach the Replicated server directly. You would possibly need to talk to your Network team.
