Summary
With a round trip, you can batch-edit multiple items or test cases in Jama Connect and create new items or test steps to be imported.
Problem
Depending on the number of items to be batch-edited and updated, the task may take minutes, hours, or even days to complete.
Solution
When a task is running in the background, it cannot be canceled from the user interface. Additionally, it is difficult to determine which data has been updated in the database during task execution. Trying to cancel the task may result in incomplete or corrupted data. The best approach is to allow the task to be completed and then start a new process with fewer items. It is better to divide a large amount of data into smaller batches and update them separately rather than all at once. There is no straightforward solution to this issue, but following these best practices will help prevent data corruption and ensure efficient task completion.
